Shipping Cost:
We ship all our orders containing livestock and live plants via UPS Next Day Air for a flat rate of $49.99 for your entire order, no matter how big! We do not offer any free shipping.
Shipping Process:
- Carrier: All fish are shipped via UPS Next Day Air to ensure they arrive quickly and safely.
- Health Check: Once your order is submitted, we verify that the fish are healthy and look beautiful before confirming the order.
- Packaging: On the day of shipping, we:
- Catch the fish.
- Add oxygen and a piece of filter to their bags.
- Double-bag them for safety.
- Place them into boxes lined with absorbent paper and insulating Styrofoam.
- Triple-Check: Fish are then triple-checked for correct species, health, behavior, and appearance before being wrapped up.
- Heat Packs: Heat packs will be applied as needed at no extra cost to ensure optimal temperature during transit.
- Transit Time: Our shipper picks them up at the end of the day and delivers them the next day, meaning our fish only spend about 16 total hours in transit from us to you.

Coverage Details:
- Overnight Shipments Only: We guarantee live arrival on all overnight shipments, provided they arrive on the projected day of delivery. This guarantee does not apply to slower shipping methods.
- Exclusions: Shipping charges of any kind are not covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee.
Claim Process:
- Credit Issuance: Guaranteed fish determined to have arrived Dead on Arrival (DOA) will be awarded as credit on your next order, equal to the value of the fish lost. No refunds will be given for DOA livestock.
- Photographic Evidence: At least two clear photographs of the DOA livestock inside the unopened bag are required to receive credit. Images must clearly show the deceased fish in the unopened bag.
- Submission Timeframe: These images must be received within four hours of package delivery. Late photographs or those depicting fish outside of the shipping bag (e.g., in a bucket or tank; out of water) are not acceptable documentation and will not result in credit.
- Acceptance Condition: Opening the shipping bag(s) ends the ‘arrival’ period and, without appropriate photographs, indicates that the fish are acceptable in the condition they arrived.
